THE HOPE OF A NATION

Abinitio, The youths have always been said to be the hope of every nation but in most nations, the reverse is the case. Many advanced nations of the world have taken advantage of utilizing the strength of their youths in different spheres of life, which has led to tremendous growth in their various economies.

WHAT IS HOPE?

“Hope is an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes with respect to events & circumstances in one’s life.”

Nigeria the state has begun to lose her hope due to bad/greedy leaders/ old hooligans with obsolete ideas. They are unwilling to invest in the youths of the nation & therefore the future of the Nigerian state is not guaranteed. Nigeria is a blessed nation with so many natural resources & human potentials that can make the country one of the best in the world. But the supposed public servants are recycling themselves for their own selfish interests, the public service position has now become an ambition & not for serving the citizenry.

The state of my dear nation is filled with so much

  • Impunity
  • Nepotism
  • Corruption
  • Insecurity
  • Infrastructural & industrial decay
  • Archaic political structure & Constitution
  • Lackadaisical attitude portrayed towards the citizenry
  • Religious issues & tribalism
  • Police

brutality & lot’s more. Hmmm, should we ask ourselves why Nigerians in diaspora thrive well in their various fields? The simple answer is “enabling environment”.

Having known that the reason for the country’s backwardness is a result of the ⬆above listed factors, it’s high time we get it right…

HOW DO WE GET IT RIGHT?

  • Full participation of the youths in the electoral process/activities of the Nigerian state.
  • Voting for the right candidate irrespective of his/her ethnical background. (Always use your PVC rightly)
  • Continuous demand for our rights.
  • Avoid transactional rallies or campaigns, you are only being deceived.
  • Talking to the people at the grass-root

level because these so-called leaders have succeeded in making them ignorant ( my high school literature teacher Mrs Oroware ll say “Ignorance is no defence”) And you may want to ask if your votes really count, it does “A case study of 2015 election & many more”. All we need is full participation.

Finally, God is giving everyone the opportunity to step up, it’s up to you what you do with your opportunity. The 2023 election is fast approaching, it’s, therefore, crucial for every able youth to participate and vote out these despicable touts called leaders who are intentionally leading the nation into destruction, subjecting the people to abject poverty, poor education… “Heyyy our mumu don do oo”.

  1. Well said. The infrastructures in Nigeria are mismanaged by our wicked leaders. We can only vote right. Nigerians in diaspora are also dreaming for Nigeria to get better, I’m order to come back. No matter what, they don’t have full access in the foreign land.
May God heal our land. Thanks Eclipse!

  2. This is very apt & direct, full participation of the youth is so needed in order to make the country great again.

  3. Indeed Nigeria 🇳🇬 is a blessed country…we are blessed with resources that can last us a lifetime if managed well.

But the mismanagement of these resources has led to economic breakdown and all other catastrophes that’s going on presently in our Nation.

I know there’s still hope for our country…Nigeria will arise again if only we don’t fold our arms and watch the wrong set of people voted into power.

If there will be real change, everyone must play their part. Our future is in our hands.
